PWH Native Garden Project

In Fall 2021, we began a landscaping project at our Craig Street homes to help one of our residents navigate what had become a muddy pathway from his porch to the driveway. Our call for native plants to help with the drainage issues piqued the interest of some passionate volunteers and has blossomed into a partnership with the New Hope Audubon Society to create native gardens around our homes for the benefit of our residents and the surrounding community (including wildlife!). Here are some ways you can get involved:

Planting Days

Join us for our upcoming Native Garden Planting Days when we will spread compost, install new native shrubs and perennials, add mulch and, of course, give them a good water before standing back to admire our work!

More dates coming soon! Send us a message at info@peeweehomes.org if you want to be notified.

Water and Weed

Sign up for a watering and weeding rotation for our new gardens. We’d love to have you help us keep our native plants healthy and happy!

If interested, send us a message at info@peeweehomes.org!

Donate

Have any native plants you’d like to thin or share? Have any extra garden tools laying around unused? We can take them off your hands! We’re also happy to accept cash donations to help fund purchase of plants, tools, rain barrels, etc. Send us a message at info@peeweehomes.org if this interests you!
