By supporting Pee Wee Homes in our campaign, you build literal and figurative foundations. In 2025, we will increase the number of physical homes we are able to offer to our neighbors. Together we will create and nurture the fundamental connections that enable Residents to build a lifelong community.

Growing Our Commitment
We were pleased to complete three new homes in 2024 and welcome new Residents, bringing our total homes to 10. And yet, the need for more housing is evident. Data from 2024 indicates there are 148 people in Orange County who are experiencing homelessness and housing costs in our county continue to rise. Pee Wee Homes wants to build more homes and offer more of our neighbors a place to call their own. We plan to identify at least 3 new sites for homes, complete paperwork and permitting in 2025, and break ground on at least 1 site in 2026. For budget efficiency, we operate with a small, dedicated staff and a cadre of passionate volunteers. In 2025, we hope to expand our Resident Support Specialist position to a full-time job.

The Key to Stable Housing
We use a sliding scale for rent so that our Residents never spend more than 30% of their monthly income on housing. We then direct 10% of their rent payment to an escrow account to help Residents build their savings.
Building Futures, One Dollar at a Time
Simply put, we cannot achieve our mission without sufficient funding. Every dollar we raise is spent with thoughtful intention to directly implement our goals and our mission. We work with individuals, foundations, and governments to make sure we are able to acquire more land, build more homes, and adequately support our Residents and staff.
Your donations, in addition to covering our operational and personnel expenses, will be activated to:
- cover site assessment and permitting costs for new land,
- provide materials and labor for new builds,
- assist with ongoing maintenance costs of existing homes,
- and invest in our Residents’ care to ensure they are able to stay in their Pee Wee Homes.
